As a sign of the profound sadness caused by the death of Queen Anne of Romania, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Mr Nicolae Timofti, signed a decree declaring August 13, 2016 as day of national mourning.
Therefore, on that day, in all localities of the country, as well as at the Diplomatic and Consular Missions of Moldova abroad, the state flags will be flown at half-mast.
Also, the memory of Queen Anne will be honored by keeping a moment of silence at 10:00.
Public authorities, companies and organizations are encouraged to postpone public events and mass media institutions are asked to take into account the solemnity of the day of August 13 in their publications and programs.
The funeral service of Queen Anne will take place on August 13, 2016.
